Castello di Montaldo is a 4-star Superior hotel set in a medieval castle on the hill of Montaldo Torinese. From your room you walk down to the Spa in your bathrobe: 3,000 m² of wellness awarded the "Golden Spa" recognition by Saunatur, where every sauna and every ritual is guided by our Sauna Masters.
It is the right place if you are looking for a spa hotel near Turin without giving up the peace of the hills: it is twenty minutes from the city, and you can leave the car parked for your whole stay.
The Castle stands at the top of Montaldo Torinese, in the hills between Turin and Chieri. From Turin it takes about twenty minutes along the Superga road; the Basilica of Superga is a quarter of an hour away.
By motorway, take the Villanova d'Asti exit on the A21 and follow the SR10 regional road towards Chieri or, coming from Milan, the Volpiano Sud/Brandizzo Ovest exit on the A4. Asti, Alba and the Langhe are less than an hour away.
Our Spa was the first in Piedmont to offer a sequence of wellness rituals performed by Sauna Masters and included in the admission price. We don't leave you on your own between one sauna and the next: the whole experience is guided, from start to finish.
The Thermarium has a large 30-seat Finnish sauna where the Sauna Shows take place, a Turkish bath with traditional Hammam rituals, bio-saunas and relaxation areas. The hydromassage pool, with jets, geysers and tropical rain, is the heart of the water area.
Outdoors there are two pools, three heated hot tubs, a panoramic sauna and the sun terrace. The Spa is open from 10:00 to 22:00; the pool and outdoor area from 10:00 to 20:30. All the details are on the page Our Spa.
Rooms and suites
The hotel has 19 rooms and 20 suites, all with views of the hills. They range from the 15-17 m² Comfort double room to the 80 m² Diplomatic Suite, the largest and most striking in the Castle.
Some Comfort rooms have a jacuzzi, and the Romantic suites in the south-west tower have a hot tub for two in the bathroom. Contemporary furnishings, bright rooms and silence: here the night is part of the wellness.

Stay and Spa: how it works
Spa access must be booked and is included in the packages with an overnight stay below: if you choose one, you go down to the wellness centre straight from your room, in your bathrobe, and the guided sensory spa path is included in the price.
If you book the room only, you can add a Spa admission for the day you prefer. If in doubt, write to us: we will suggest the best option for your dates.

The Spa is also open to guests who are not staying at the Castle, and hotel guests without a package can book a separate admission. Relax at the Castle is the day admission with the sensory path, from 49€ per person; Relax at the Castle under the stars is the evening admission from 5 pm with an aperitif, from 47€; the Private Spa is a Spa reserved for the two of you for six hours, with an aperitif and a massage, from 125€ per person.

Is the Spa included in my stay?
It is included in the packages with an overnight stay, such as Montaldo Day&Night. If you book the room only, Spa admission is booked separately. In both cases access must be booked.
How far is the Castle from Turin?
About 20 minutes by car from the centre of Turin, along the Superga road. By motorway, exit at Villanova d'Asti (A21) or Volpiano Sud/Brandizzo Ovest (A4).
What are the Spa opening hours?
The Spa is open from 10:00 to 22:00. The pool and the outdoor wellness area are open from 10:00 to 20:30.
What should I bring?
In the packages with an overnight stay, a kit with bathrobe and shower towel is included. Please bring your own slippers and a swimming cap, which is required in the pool.
Can I use the Spa without staying at the hotel?
Yes. The Spa is open to everyone with the day and evening admissions, such as Relax at the Castle and Relax at the Castle under the stars, or with the Private Spa.
